Description:

The Trinity Oakland Perioperative Services Department is sponsoring an 11-week Perioperative Internship for new and experienced RNs who possess a strong interest in working in the surgical setting. The Internship a unique experience that allows participants to function in a new nursing role in a safe and supportive environment. There will be 4 spots available for this program and we will consider external and internal candidates. Tentative start date is Mid to end of February 2026.

Program Highlights:

  • Program will run a total of 11 weeks. 2.5 weeks of didactic classroom education combined with an in depth clinical orientation experience.
  • Earn enough CEUs to meet the 2 year license requirement.
  • Didactic program content certified by AORN geared toward OR Certification preparation.
  • Paid Internship. Hourly pay to commensurate with RN experience.


Program Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of RN work experienced as RN.
  • Licensed RN in State of Michigan
  • Submit 250 word letter of interest to
  • Complete mandatory OR observation day (to be coordinated for you by Surgical Services Team upon receipt of your letter of interest)
  • Successfully complete the interview process with selection panel
  • Program is subject to all applicably employment policies and at will employment regulations.
